The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Libraries seek an innovative, collaborative, creative, and dynamic individual to serve as Electronic and Continuing Resources Librarian. This position manages the life-cycle of continuing resources in all formats and performs functions including acquisition, analysis, assessment, communication, and record creation in support of the UWM’s research and teaching mission. The librarian will work with a variety of tools to interpret and analyze data and present evidence-based recommendations regarding collection development and management. The individual should be a detailed-oriented, user-focused and collaborative professional. Reporting to the Collection Management Team Lead in the Collection and Resource Management Division, the librarian participates in the goals and objectives of the Collection Management Team, Division, and the UWM Libraries, and is responsible for providing excellent service in a professional manner and serving as a representative of UWM and the Libraries.

Minimum Qualifications

• MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent
• Experience with a library management system

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional post-MLIS experience in an academic library
• Experience with Ex Libris Alma library management system
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry tools, standards, best practices, and initiatives related to the management of electronic & continuing resources, e.g. OpenURL, KBART, ERMI, SERU, COUNTER, and SUSHI
• Experience working in a consortial environment
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong written communication skills
