Are you passionate about serving the community and providing excellent library services to adults? Do you enjoy developing programs and helping people access resources and their new favorite book? Due to a promotion, Menomonee Falls Public Library is looking for our next full-time Adult Services Librarian to enrich the community.

MFPL is seeking someone with a strong community service background who is friendly, creative, organized, team oriented, and with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate enjoys working with all people and views the Library as a bridge to literature, resources, and lifelong learning.

The Adult Services Librarian will collaborate with the Adult Services team to develop innovative, high quality services and programs. They will:

Participate in Collection Development
Assist Patrons at the Reference Desk
Provide technology assistance to adults
Have a strong interest in the importance of Local History
Collaborate on book displays and promoting popular literature
They will also work closely with the Adult Services Manager to:

Coordinate Community Resources
Build programs for adults throughout the lifespan
Develop passive programs for ongoing engagement
Continue the expansion of our Adult Reading Programs
Menomonee Falls Public Library is a fun and energetic place to work. It’s proud to offer its patrons amazing resources including two new CoLabs, the Maude Shunk Local History Room, an expansive Library of Things collection, and a multitude of digital services.

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution or be graduating with their degree in May of 2026. Library experience is strongly preferred but not required. Applicants should have extensive knowledge of popular literature, entertainment, resources, reference sources, and enjoy working with all people.

This is a full-time, hourly position at 40 hours per week. Schedule includes weekdays, at least one evening per week, and at least one Saturday per month. More weekday evenings and Saturdays may be required depending on programming schedules and the needs of the Library.

Starting hourly rate of pay ranges from $24.92-$26.94 an hour, depending on experience. Excellent benefits package included.
