Library Director - Fountain City Public Library
The City of Fountain City is seeking a full-time Library Director. Working under the direction of the Library Board of Trustees, this pivotal leadership role serves as the chief administrative officer responsible for the overall management, operation, and strategic vision of the newly created Fountain City Public Library. The ideal candidate will be a community-minded leader who can effectively manage library administration, oversee budgeting and financial planning, develop a diverse collection, and foster a welcoming environment for learning and discovery. This position requires strong collaboration with Trustees and City staff, the Winding Rivers Library System (WRLS) system, local volunteers, and community organizations to promote the library as a vital public resource.
Key Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree.
● Eligibility to obtain and maintain the appropriate Wisconsin Public Librarian
Certification.
● Proven leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
● Excellent public relations, communication, and technological proficiency.
Compensation:
● Starting annual salary - $47,500
● City benefits package
