Hedberg Public Library, located in Janesville, Wisconsin, is seeking Reference Librarians. We have open a Full-time Exempt position and a Part-time 20 hour per week position that reports to the Head of Information Services. Starting wage is $20.67 and includes some evenings and weekends.
These are professional librarian positions of which key components are providing reference service, collection development tasks, and community engagement through building partnerships and outreach.
A Master’s degree in Library Science with A.L.A. accreditation and at least one year of experience in a related field is required.
Candidates for these positions should have thorough knowledge of common public library policies, practices, procedures, and services, and an understanding of spreadsheets, databases, and integrated library systems. Skill in public speaking and interpersonal communication, complex problem solving and effective time management is also required.
