The Lake Geneva Public Library is pleased to offer a newly created position of Library Assistant II – Youth Services, dedicated to supporting youth resources and services.

The Lake Geneva Public Library (LGPL) sits in Library Park on Main Street in the beautiful downtown heart of Lake Geneva. Designed in 1954 by Frank Lloyd Wright protégé James Dresser, the building draws architectural enthusiasts, visitors, and residents to one of the most scenic views of Geneva Lake available.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will support the Head of Youth Services with customer service/patron assistance at the reference desk, collection maintenance projects, and youth programming as assigned.

Successful candidates will:

- Be creative and have strong multi-tasking and exceptional customer services skills
- Be able to work independently on assigned tasks and projects
- Have a passion for supporting early childhood literacy and be knowledgeable about or willing to learn about children’s and young adult literature
- Promote the library’s mission by contributing to a productive and positive library environment
- Have strong technology and organizational skills

Work schedule will vary and include weekends and evenings. This is a 20-hour/week position with a starting wage of $14.23/hour.
