The Edgerton Public Library is currently accepting applications for a dynamic and community minded individual to join our friendly staff as a Library Assistant! The emphasis of this position will be on managing services and programming for teens and assisting patrons with technology concerns, however this position involves work in all of our library departments.
Edgerton is located 30 minutes southeast of Madison and is a member of the Arrowhead Library System. In January, 2018, ALS will join the SHARE consortium. This is an exciting time to join our staff!
Qualified candidates will have excellent customer service skills, enjoy being around teens, have experience developing teen programs, be comfortable using and teaching others how to use a wide variety of technology tools including smartphones, eReaders, desktop computers and tablets, and understand the dynamics of library service.
Starting salary: $12.01/hour
Position averages 20 hours/week (potential for more hours)
Tentative Schedule:
Tuesday 12-5:30; Wednesday 2:30-8 ; Friday 9 - 5
Saturday Every 4th weekend 8:30 - 3
Schedule allows some flexibility for programming and other needs.
