Wanted: Someone with wow! We want to be souped-up, not so-so. We want dark chocolate, not vanilla (apologies to vanilla). We want to “go outside” the library, not live inside. The possibilities are wide-open for you to accomplish your dreams in the tech universe.
Responsible for all areas of tech troubleshooting for patrons and staff, including wireless printing practice and hotspot implementation. Must know MS products, installing software and hardware, personal devices ranging from Android to Apple and in-between. Must be fluent in and/or able to quickly utilize databases such as Consumer Reports, Flipster, and apps such as Overdrive/Libby, etc.
Will manage library social media, including website, Facebook, Pintrest, Flickr, etc. Familiarity with Canva and Word Press a plus.
Additional responsibilities include copy cataloging and serving as a cataloging resource to staff, AV collection management, print material selections, participation in library system meetings and committees, continuing education opportunities, and reference services.

• Enjoys helping people of all ages, engages well with others, and is outgoing.
• Is a team player who can fill multiple roles in a work day.
• Is comfortable with instruction/teaching, in groups or one-on-one.
• Is knowledgeable about the philosophy and techniques of library services.
• Has practical knowledge about library materials, resources and programs of interest to adults.



Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school. Library experience desirable. This position is scheduled for 30 hours per week with day, evening and weekend hours required. Pay range is $19.19-$24.75 per hour (DOQ).
