The Appleton Public Library is currently hiring for the position of Librarian – Teen Services and Engagement. This is a full-time benefited exempt professional position in the Community Partnerships Section of the library where efforts are collaborative, community led, and outcome oriented. Work involves coordinating the provision of library services with and for teens, providing reference and readers advisory service to patrons of all ages at the adult public service desks, working with volunteers and a teen advisory board, promoting teen services, designing and implementing teen programming, planning and implementing the teen summer library program, implementing library instruction programs for school groups and adults, as well as working as a member of the Community Partnerships section team. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Community Partnerships Supervisor. Some evening and weekend work is required. This position requires a master’s degree in library and information science, or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience with teens and diverse populations preferred. Ability to speak Spanish or Hmong is a plus. Regular attendance is required. We offer a competitive salary, plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
