Do you have a knack for relating to kids? Are you passionate about promoting early literacy? Do you want a chance to show people what libraries can do for the families in their communities? If so, you might be our new Youth Services Librarian.
New Glarus Public Library is looking for someone who can take an active role in determining the shape of children’s programming. The ideal candidate will be an excellent storyteller, full of creative ideas for incorporating literacy and promoting the library in fun (even “sneaky”) new ways, able to communicate clearly with patrons of all ages, and ready to reach out and problem solve to ensure that we are meeting the needs of multiple and various groups.
This full-time position will include some evenings and a Saturday rotation, plus regular time at our Circulation Desk in addition to the core youth services duties. Salary is $15/hr with excellent benefits. Must have experience working with children and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
