Position information:
The Oshkosh Public Library (WI) is seeking a forward-thinking Managing Librarian to direct our Information Services Department and co-lead the library’s new Programming Team. This challenging position will oversee reference, local history/genealogy and technology services, as well as library programming for adults. The ideal candidate will work to shape and enhance the library’s role as a leading resource for information services in the Oshkosh community. We are especially interested in candidates who are skilled at mentoring and developing staff to meet the evolving needs of library users.
This is an exempt position that includes some weekend and evening hours. As a member of the library’s management team, the Head of Information Services will help to strengthen the Oshkosh Public Library’s position as a center for lifelong learning, an incubator for creativity, a recognized downtown destination and a valuable community partner.
