The University of Wisconsin–River Falls invites applications for a Textbook Services Manager. The Textbook Services Manager is responsible for administering and managing Textbook Services to provide learning resources to students in all formats that support the UW-River Falls curriculum. This position establishes and implements policies and procedures to allow for effective operation of the Textbook Services’ rental and resale operations; administers the annual budget; manages purchasing, accounting, licensing, and inventory control for all of Textbook Services’ instructional materials; and supervises staff and manages all departmental personnel functions.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; demonstrated knowledge of the book trade industry, including present and emerging technologies that affect the industry; demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and strategic planning processes; strong public service commitment; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; able to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.

The following are considered assets: experience with acquisition of instructional materials; managerial and supervisory experience; experience with an online inventory control system.
