The Town Hall Library located in North Lake, Wisconsin, serving the Town of Merton area is looking for an energetic, service-oriented director. The Town of Merton is a community of 8,478 located in the unincorporated community of North Lake – which is part of the Town of Merton – in the northwestern part of Waukesha County. The area features exceptional natural resources for hiking, biking and water activities with easy access to larger metropolitan areas. The area includes high-performing elementary schools and a top-flight high school.
Town Hall Library is a community oriented library which prides itself on excellent service to its users. An expansion and renovation of the library completed in 2009, and an additional expansion of the lower level children's area and teen space in 2014, provide a welcoming and exciting space. We are expanding our programming and community involvement opportunities to better serve out patrons’ needs.
Under the direction of the board, this position directs all aspects of library operations including but not limited to budgeting, personnel management, policy development and maintenance, collection development, services, programming, facility maintenance, marketing, and advocacy.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited school
• Qualify for Grade I Certificate from the State of Wisconsin within three months of date of hire
• Three years of professional librarian experience, including administrative and supervisory responsibilities in a public library
• Completion of a successful background check
Salary $56,000-$60,000, negotiable based on experience.
