Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Library Director, manages and leads the Adult Services department. Performs general planning and decision-making for library operations and improvements, including managing the development of the collections, programs, and activities, offering dependable reference and advisory services, and training and supervising staff. Recommends and upholds policies and procedures to maximize efficiencies and provide excellent customer service. Participates in long-range strategic planning and goal setting as a member of the Administrative Staff.Master’s Degree in Library Science with at least three years of professional library experience with supervisory duties.State of Iowa Public Librarian endorsement pertaining to support staff within one year of employment.
