WiLS is looking for a part-time Operations Assistant to help us deliver excellent service to our members. The position is 24 hours per week, spread out over four to five days per week.

The ideal candidate must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 1-3 years of equivalent experience in an administrative or financial position (non-profit or library experience preferred, but not required).
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in Microsoft Office and Google Apps, including working with data in spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks independently and with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in writing, by phone, and through distance technologies.
  • Ability and willingness to work in teams with colleagues, to be flexible, to be patient, to have a great sense of humor, and to do what it takes to provide the best possible service to our members and partners.
  • Ability to self-motivate and to complete tasks with minimal direction/supervision.
  • Access to high-speed internet.
  • Live in or around the Madison, WI area. Regular job duties require weekly travel within Madison.

  • A flexible work environment (we are a virtual office) and a flexible schedule between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.

  • Hourly salary is $16-18 per hour. Competitive benefits include paid time off (Holidays, sick, and vacation) and access to health insurance. Compensation will also include a monthly phone and internet stipend.
