Library Assistant – Adult Services
Brewer Public Library seeks a talented and versatile individual for the position of Library Assistant – Adult Services. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with benefits. The schedule for this position includes evening and weekend hours. Duties include assisting with a wide variety of complex customer service and library tasks; assisting library patrons in making effective use of all library resources, collections and programs; planning and implementing programs for adults 18 years and up; assisting with adult collection management tasks; and community engagement and outreach. The ideal candidate is service oriented, a motivated team player, has strong attention to detail, flexible, and is able to work independently. Candidates must be comfortable with a variety of technologies, have full range of body motion, and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
A college degree and prior library experience are preferred. Technology knowledge and experience is required. $15 to $18 per hour based on qualifications.
