The Elm Grove Public Library is accepting applications for an Adult Services Librarian. Responsibilities include providing reference service, computer assistance and readers’ advisory services to patrons at the reference desk, as well as assisting with digital materials and electronic devices. This position is also responsible for performing collection development in assigned areas.
Elm Grove is a beautiful village in eastern Waukesha County, with a lovely park, pond and walking trails immediately outside the library’s front door.
We are looking for a candidate who is customer service focused, and has a strong background in computer applications as they relate to library services. Starting wage is $18.50 per hour. This 15 hour/week position includes daytime shifts, one evening shift per week and approximately one Saturday per month.
Master of Library Science degree from an accredited program is required. Public service or library experience preferred. A successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug screening and a background check.
