Duties and Responsibilities
• Answer incoming calls to the WLA office
• Respond to email and telephone member inquires by end of business day
• Update and maintain membership database. Generate monthly membership reports for WLA Executive Director, WLA Board and Membership Committee
• Develop and organize member prospect spreadsheets complete with key contacts and background information
• Compile membership packet and work with Membership Committee to identify and develop membership recruitment and retention collateral materials
• Identify and invite new members to organized events, providing staff support as needed
• Assist with member events including student orientation and membership information booth at spring and fall conferences
• Assist in tracking and maintaining member participation and engagement statistics by creating reports and spreadsheets that clearly illustrate member involvement in WLA
• Provide excellent customer service for WLA members
• Perform other related duties of a comparable level / type as assigned
Qualifications
• Completed studies in business, communications, marketing or related fields
• Research and data collection skills
• Experience with membership organizations and / or community outreach preferred
• Self-motivated, energetic learner with a good sense of humor
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Comfortable with working in a collaborative team environment
• Must possess an open communications style
• Highly organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and web conference software
Compensation
Starting salary $15 / Hour – 15 hours per week
Hours may increase during spring and fall conference cycle
