Job opening: Youth Services Outreach Coordinator (Half-time)
The Platteville Public Library is seeking an outgoing, service-oriented, and collaborative professional to join our team as our new Youth Services Outreach Coordinator. The ideal candidate will exemplify the library’s values and service standards and will uphold our mission through their work coordinating library outreach opportunities, working with youth and families, and planning and executing programs.
Additional responsibilities include
- Staffing public service desks
- Coordinating volunteer opportunities
- Creating programming-related displays
- Providing reader’s advisory
- Preparing and distributing press releases and marketing materials
- Attending workshops and meetings as needed
- Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or previous library work required. ALA-accredited master’s degree in Library and Information Science preferred.
Schedule
This is a half-time (20 hours/week) position with one evening per week and Saturday and Sunday hours on a rotating basis (approximately every four weeks).
Wages
Starting wage range is $19.25 an hour.
