Svinicki Association Management, Inc. is currently digitizing the papers of NIBA- The Belting Association, including membership records and technical papers of historical significance. Jointly with the Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington, Delaware, we are developing a complete digital archives of the association's historical development. The collection, as a whole, serves as a corporate memory for our members and contributes to a sense of identity for the association.
We are seeking a part-time volunteer intern to support collection processing, arrangement, digitization and description. Our collection management project seeks to ensure the long-term preservation and digital access to this unique information. The intern will gain experience developing a digital library from its inception.
Scanning and organizing original materials according to record retention plan
Arrange and describe digital records according to provenance and original order
Prepare document descriptions and reference aids for the collection
Assist with preservation assessments
