The town of Mercer in Northern Wisconsin is seeking a personable, positive, and community-minded Library Director with a commitment to public service. The preferred candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with community organizations, volunteers, and the public of all ages. The Mercer Public Library is in north central Wisconsin, in the beautiful Northwoods and with many lakes. The library is the cornerstone of a community of approximately 1,400 people that more than triples during the summer season. Six years ago, a beautiful addition was added to the library providing additional space for the collection and community programming. The Mercer Library is committed to forming and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and other leaders for the benefit of all citizens. An engaged Friends of the Library group provides support through volunteering and fundraising efforts. The library is a member of the Northern Waters Library Service.

This position is for 32 hours a week. Candidates must hold or be able to attain a minimum of Grade III Wisconsin Librarian certification.
