The DPI is currently seeking applicants for an Adult and Community Services Library Consultant position for the Public Library Development Team with the Division for Libraries and Technology. This position is located at 125 South Webster Street in Madison, WI. The office is located in the heart of Madison, one block off the Capitol Square.
The person in this position has the opportunity to work with a wide variety of stakeholders: colleagues at the DPI, public libraries and public library regional systems throughout Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin system, library continuing education consultants, and national state library training consultants. This consultant will develop and deliver timely and topical training on emerging services. This consultant will help public libraries in Wisconsin determine, bolster, and demonstrate their value to their community, as well as to strengthen ties with other community resources through services to adults in their communities through job skills, lifelong learning, as well as library services to engage the increasing demographic of older adults.
Starting salary will be between $27.36-$39.87 per hour ($56,908 - $82,929 per year), plus excellent benefits. A one-year probationary period will be required. Questions about the position should be addressed to:
