The 2024 WLA Annual Conference will take place November 5-8 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This year's theme, "All In: Include and Innovate," highlights the importance of inclusivity and innovation in our profession. The conference will provide a platform for sharing knowledge, networking, and exploring new ideas to support library professionals and the communities we serve.

All In: Include and Innovate Statement

“Diversity is a fact. Equity is a choice. Inclusion is an action. Belonging is an outcome."

–Arthur Chan

The 2024 Wisconsin Library Association Conference theme: All In: Include and Innovate aims to inspire the whole Wisconsin Library Community–to connect and learn from a broad range of identities and backgrounds. Through the work of the dedicated members of the committee, we hope to reach:

  • People from various departments in library types and organizations (academic, public, special, and school), including youth services, outreach, adult services, marketing, technical services, patron services, etc.

  • People across the organizational hierarchy: patron-facing staff, administration, directors, emerging and incumbent leaders, etc.

  • People from all backgrounds and identities, including those who identify as: BIPOC, neurodivergent, people with disabilities, or LGBTQ+.

The Conference Committee is committed to making this conference as inclusive as possible in its planning from program proposals to major speaker selection and facilities and technology.

We hope that you walk away feeling inspired and connected with your library colleagues, as you bring back new ideas, innovations, and connections to your libraries and communities.
