Be a Member, Get a Member!

Starting January 1, 2019, when you refer a new member to join the Wisconsin Library Association, you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win $500 CASH. 

Contest dates run January 1, 2019, through October 1, 2019.

WLA is asking you to join our effort to grow membership. Convince a friend or colleague to join the Wisconsin Library Association and you can qualify to enter our prize drawing for $500 CASH. Help share the value of membership in the association that has been an important part of your career. Your effort will bring growth and stability to WLA.

CONTEST RULES

Do you need talking points? We just happen to have a list of benefits that will be very familiar to you:It’s easy to participate. Make a list of your colleagues, friends, Library Board Trustees, and volunteers who are not WLA members. Wow them with all of the reasons why becoming a member is a great idea. In the upper right corner of the membership form add your name in the “Referred By” box. Each referral gives you an additional chance to win. The drawing will take place in October at the WLA Annual Conference at the Kalahari Convention Center, Wisconsin Dells.

CONTEST RULES

  1. The definition of a “new member” is anyone who has not previously joined WLA, or who has not maintained consecutive membership for three years or greater.
  2. If a new member forgets to add a colleague’s name in the “Referred By” box on the application they can contact the WLA office to request a correction.
  3. A member may have their name submitted multiple times based on new member applications.
  4. The WLA Board and office staff are not eligible to participate.
  5. The deadline for names to be submitted for consideration is October 1, 2019.
