The South Central Library System (SCLS), based in Madison, Wisconsin, is a dynamic, well-respected organization serving 65 public library locations across a 7-county region with a population base of 895,000 people. The SCLS mission is “to help our member libraries provide the best possible service to the public”. The SCLS mission is supported by an incredible staff of 55 dedicated professionals offering the highest level of service and support to our member libraries across a broad array of library services, including Technology, ILS, Consulting, and Statewide Delivery.
SCLS is a forward-thinking, member-focused organization with exciting changes on the horizon including moving into its new location housing both Headquarters and Delivery operations, creating a new strategic plan and a marketplace review of new discovery layers, and the continued development of the Bibliovation ILS. These innovative changes have put the System into a position to move confidently into the future to meet the growing needs of the communities it serves.
With these changes, also comes a change in leadership for the System. As the current System Director is moving toward retirement in February 2024, SCLS now seeks an innovative new leader to continue to grow its mission and vision into the future.
