Library Director – Eager Free Public Library, Evansville, Wisconsin
The Eager Free Public Library has a rich history along with some great new facilities! We completed a large new addition to the building in 2020 and have space just waiting to be used for even more community connections!
Our vision for the library is to be a place for the community, specifically: Engaging, Enlightening, and Energizing Evansville. Our mission is to be a place that opens doors for curious minds by encouraging literacy, inspiring learning, and connecting people.
Evansville is a small community that’s growing and soon is expected to add a large soybean processing plant—we anticipate even more growth. It’s a diverse community, not in race, but in thought and worldview. Our library could be a place to work toward unity.
The EFPL Director is the leader of this charge. Humility is key in this role. We’re looking for someone who is a servant first, and a leader because of that service. He or she will be someone with vision and ability to make that vision happen. Someone who knows how to lead a creative and high-functioning team. An individual who has passion and desire to connect within our community. We have no interest in an agenda-pusher, but rather someone who is ready to move us forward in being a key component of our community. When people think of Evansville, they don’t think of our library—yet. Things are shifting in Evansville. Are you ready to be a leader in that change?

This is a government position, with all of the excellent benefits that the city of Evansville has for its employees. Health, dental, life insurance, and retirement. Salary range of $54,000-$67,000. |
