JOB DESCRIPTION:
Portage Public Library seeks applicants for a part-time Library Assistant position. Duties include serving library users at our information desk- assisting with technology, library collections, and information needs. The Library Assistant is also the person-in-charge during evening and weekend shifts. Additional responsibilities include keeping statistics, creating reports, and collection/stacks maintenance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Six months to one year related experience or training. Previous library experience is preferred.
PAY/SCHEDULE:
This is a part time position, 12-16 hours per week, and is not benefits eligible. Hiring pay rate is $13.00/hr. Schedule: 12:30p-4:30p Mondays, 4:30p-8:30p Thursdays, 12:30p-6:00p Fridays. One or two Saturdays per month 8:30a-2:00p.
