Creative? Like people? Excited about new technologies? The Hedberg Public Library in Janesville, WI is looking for a dynamic, technology savvy and experienced individual for its Innovation Librarian. This librarian will develop and conduct inventive programs to introduce adults, teens, and sometimes children to a variety of technology devices and applications. In addition, they will create and take part in fun and exciting presentations and events that promote the Library’s mission using current and emerging technology. Our Innovation Librarian will train and educate both staff and the public in the use of various devices, applications, and electronic resources. This customer service minded person will also participate in community engagement efforts with a focus on technology and perform reference and collection development tasks.

Janesville is a city of 63,000+ located on the Rock River in south-central Wisconsin. The Hedberg Public Library is a well-loved and supported institution situated in the heart of a growing downtown district and has been serving Rock County since 1865.

This is a full-time exempt position with a salary range of $21.09 - $33.74 per hour. Working hours will include evenings and weekends. A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited college or university, or proof of enrollment and intent to complete degree within two years, is required. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a library or educational setting is required.
