The Mazomanie Free Library located in Mazomanie Wisconsin has an immediate opening for Library Director. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and organized leader with the ability to engage staff and the community. This is a full-time position.
The Mazomanie Free Library serves Mazomanie and the surrounding areas in western Dane County and eastern Iowa County. The library is located in the historic railroad depot which was built in 1857. The library provides quality services and resources that inspires learning, explores culture, and creates community connections.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage all library functions within the goal, policies, and guidelines established by the Library Board of Trustees.
• Organize, manage, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Administer financial resources and prepare an annual budget.
• Manage strategic plan, programming, outreach and community relations.
• Seek grant and donation opportunities.
• Manage facility, equipment and materials
• Provide vision for the long-term viability of the library
• Maintain and/or acquire professional credentials and pursue continuing education
Minimum qualifications: Grade 3 Wisconsin Library Certification (or commitment to obtaining certification within 2 years of employment). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and fiscal skills. Library director or two years professional/managerial experience preferred.
