Powers Memorial Library is seeking an enthusiastic person who enjoys working with people, and can manage a budget to fill the position of Library Director. This position is a full-time position; however part-time candidate may be considered. The ideal candidates must be skilled at management, programming, budgeting and community outreach.
Salary is dependent on experience and full-time or part-time status.
Powers Memorial Library is located in the small town of Palmyra, WI, the “Heart of the Kettle Moraine,” and serves over 1,800 patrons of all ages.
Requirements: A background in Library Science and/or management experience is a plus, but not required if the best candidate agrees to complete the coursework needed to attain a Grade III Director Certification after hire.
Responsibilities include: budget management, collection development, policy development and implementation, administers and promotes library programs and services, employee management, building and equipment management
