The Kenosha Public Library is seeking applicants for a 29-hour per week Early Literacy Specialist to join our dynamic, innovative Youth & Family Services team. Our ideal candidate has experience working with children, a flexible schedule, and the ability to be self-directed in their work. A positive, go-with-the-flow attitude and a sense of humor are required!
Essential Job Functions
-Plan and implement age appropriate quality programming for children, parents or caregivers, educators and those adults that work with children with an emphasis on early literacy.
-Be knowledgeable of KPL planning and policy developments.
-Provide assistance at KPL locations to patrons in accessing library collections, answering information and circulation questions, providing reader’s advisory assistance, and assist in operating equipment.
Annual Salary: $29,511.56
