Matheson Memorial Library in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, is seeking an enthusiastic and creative librarian to join our team as Adult Services Librarian. We are searching for a tech savvy self-starter who has strong communication and outreach skills and a passion for promoting library services and programs. Primary responsibilities include: supervising the adult services department staff and volunteers; planning, coordinating, and implementing adult programs and outreach; technology assistance for library patrons; marketing and community engagement for adult patrons; and maintaining the library website, social media accounts, and other library technology. Additional responsibilities include information and reference services and development of the adult collection.

Elkhorn, located in the heart of Walworth County, is part of the SHARE library consortium, which serves communities in the Lakeshores Library System.
Requirements:
• Two or more years of experience in a public library setting or other service institution with comparable demands and responsibilities is required. Management experience or comparable supervisory skills preferred.
• Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited institution, or those who anticipate completing their MLIS degree within a year are preferred. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with current technology and the ability to learn and teach emerging technology is highly desirable.
• The ability to lead and supervise a team.
Compensation:
$47,049 - $50,984 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
