Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting second shift Media and Reserve Services Desk operations, including student employee activities and public service to patrons. This position is independently accountable for the second shift Media and Reserve operation and is the lead worker in an area when there are no higher-level library professionals present. The position requires expertise in relating and interpreting library policies, practices, and procedures to faculty, staff, students, and community users.

This position requires technical skills and thorough knowledge of the circulation system used by the UWM Libraries. Normal weekly schedule is 2nd shift, Sunday through Thursday. Hours vary during campus break periods. This position reports to the Head of Media and Reserve Services.

Salary: This position comes with a competitive salary and benefit package. The salary minimum is $16.04 ($33,363 annually). In compliance with FLSA policy, there is additional night differential pay of $0.45 per hour for all hours worked between 6:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M, and $0.60 per hour for weekend differential. Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Library customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience working in an academic library
• Experience with Alma (ExLibris) Library Management System
• Experience working with Microsoft Office programs
