Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Librarian is to provide for and maintain library operations and services for the Campus Library including library instruction, reference, circulation, interlibrary loans, and collection development. Provide instruction in library skills in a classroom and alternative delivery setting including the development of appropriate print and electronic instructional resources; provide reference services including assistance with electronic resources, databases, catalogs; instruct library staff in the use of library resources for ready reference. Give direction to evening, student and substitute library staff in providing library services. Provide for leadership within the library in providing services to the campus community, assigning work and deadlines to campus library staff, and ensuring adequate library staffing during the hours of operation in consultation with the Dean, Learning Success.
The position reports to the Dean, Learning Success.

Salary
$65,973.00 - $73,303.00 Annually
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Library Science with emphasis on reference and library instruction.
Two years of occupational experience in library Services and library instruction at the post-secondary level.
Knowledge of online catalogs, electronic databases, and electronic resources.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Work experience in web page design.
Experience in library promotion/programming
Familiarity with issues in open education, open textbooks, affordable course content, open licensing, and copyright.
Experience in creating videos for library tutorials and reference.
Recent work experience using an Integrated Library System (ie. Innovative/Sierra – Circulation and Cataloging).
Work experience with a diverse population
