Lakeland University in Plymouth, Wisconsin invites applications for a Student Success Librarian.
The Student Success Librarian leads efforts to ensure that Lakeland’s library fulfills its mission of providing the university community with access to quality information and offering an environment conducive to personal growth. Recognizing that students turn to the library when questions arise, the Student Success Librarian supports the university’s academic, persistence, and completion goals by curating and promoting awareness of campus-wide and community-based resources that support student academic, financial, and emotional well-being. The person in this position collaborates with members of the Academic Support Services team and personnel in other campus departments (such as Campus Life, Cooperative Education and Career Readiness, Financial Literacy and Educational Funding, and Academic Affairs) to develop and deliver innovative programming around campus that promotes information literacy and other skills essential to degree completion and lifelong learning. The Student Success Librarian must be knowledgeable about both print and digital information sources and be able to instruct students on the use of these resources in formal and informal settings. This position manages an internal web information page for parents and families, coordinates outreach activities and library promotion through social media and other outlets, and oversees maintenance of the periodical collection.
