The North Shore Library in Glendale, WI is seeking a creative and enthusiastic part-time Youth Services Librarian with a passion for learning and collaboration to join our team. Could this be you?
Primary Duties:
- Planning and presenting programs for children, teens, and families
- Selecting and maintaining materials for various children’s collections
- Providing reference and reader’s advisory services to patrons of all ages
- Staffing the public service desks
- Developing and implementing outreach services to local schools and organizations
Qualifications:
This position requires a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science.
Beginning librarians and applicants nearing completion of their MLIS degree are encouraged to apply.
Prior experience working in a children’s department is preferred.
Hours:
This part-time position is 20-25 hours per week and includes regular evening and weekend hours.
Wages:
Starting pay is $25.28 per hour.
Timeline:
