ESTABLISHING A NAMED FUND

To establish a named fund, whether in your name or someone else's, you may submit a proposal to the WLAF Board. Explain how the purpose of the fund aligns with the mission of the Foundation. WLAF policy states that such a fund must have a minimum of $10,000 in contributions before it can be designated as a separate fund in someone’s name.

Once the WLAF Board has approved the establishment of the fund under the auspices of the foundation, the persons wishing to establish it may conduct approved fund raising activities using the WLAF’s name. Contributions for such a purpose can be made payable to WLAF and are, therefore, considered charitable contributions for tax purposes.

If the fund does not reach $10,000, the money raised will be designated to an existing WLAF fund or funds.
