Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to show your talents to Wisconsin’s youth librarians! 

The 2024 Performers Showcase, presented by the Youth Services Section of the Wisconsin Library Association, will connect performers with members of the Wisconsin library community through live virtual demonstrations and marketing materials offered by magicians, puppeteers, storytellers, musicians, and anyone who presents library programs for children, youth, teen, and family audiences.

We are looking for performers interested in sharing quality programming for children, teens, and/or families at a reasonable cost for Wisconsin libraries.  

The December 3 virtual showcase will give you the opportunity to deliver an abbreviated live virtual demonstration of your educational and/or entertainment act (ten minutes), followed by a five-minute Q & A session with librarians from around the state via Zoom. All registered attendees and performers will receive a digital directory containing information about your show and contact information for booking - a great resource for libraries as they look ahead to the 2025 summer reading program!  

A recording of the showcase will be made available to registered attendees 60 days after the event. In addition to the chance to deliver a live "commercial" for your program, the interactive event website will give you the opportunity to upload and share marketing materials with attendees.

Join us online via Zoom on Tuesday, December 3!  We are planning for a 9 a.m. start time, however, the final schedule may be adjusted once all performers have been scheduled.  

We invite you to choose one option to participate: 

• Option 1:  Live 10-minute virtual demonstration, plus 5 minutes of Q & A with librarians and full-page listing in digital directory - $75.00
  All virtual performers are required to participate in a pre-event tech check. See below. 

• Option 2:  Full-page listing in digital directory only - $50.00
  

Deadline for registration is November 1 or when all slots are filled.

Pre-Event Tech Check Required

To make sure your presentation goes smoothly, all performers are expected to sign up for a brief (10 - 15 minute) pre-event Zoom meeting with WLA staff to review the event logistics, test your location, microphone, etc., and answer any questions you may have.  More details and a sign-up link will be provided once your registration is complete.
